Venice flows in all the facets of Local, from the environment to the colors, from the kitchen to the room, from the sounds to the silence. Everything speaks of the deep love that binds Benedetta and Manuel to their origins and to the lagoon, of their desire to tell a new story of the city and the gastronomic traditions that animate it.
The choice was to collaborate with some of the best local artisans. The chairs, tables and wine cellar are handmade by Remo Pasquini.
The prince of the room is the counter, which you meet immediately at the entrance. Copper on the surface and a wooden base made from Valpolicella barrels.
The floor is a Venetian terrazzo with about 4,000 murrine embedded, the result of the magical work of the master glassmakers of Murano. The reference is to the logo in order to create a coherent and identifying reference in all the details.
The lighting accessories were designed internally and made by a Venetian company.
There is a very big painting that belonged to Benedetta's grandmother, which immediately leads the guest to immerse themselves in the wonder that Venice always has to offer.
A key element of Local is the open kitchen, whose design takes inspiration from tradition, combined with elements of modernity. In line with the philosophy of the project and with the aim of bringing innovation to the city, it was strongly desired to be "open" and it becomes a symbol of transparency and clarity.
The color of the walls makes everything fluid and perfectly integrated into the intimate atmosphere of the place. It recalls the lagoon and seems to make you hear the sound of the water in the canals even from inside.
Finally, a small private room for a maximum of four/six people. Here you can also find the dry aging fridges for fish and meat and a wooden shelf that holds all the jars with fermented products, preserves and various kitchen experiments.
